BaseballAlex Rodriguez currently serves as a Special Advisor to Hal Steinbrenner of the New York Yankees. Previously, Mr. Rodriguez played major league baseball over a 22-year career that included 14 All-Star appearances, 3 American League MVP Awards and a World Series Championship in 2009, with the New York Yankees. Mr. Rodriguez has also used his extensive knowledge of baseball as a color commentator and analyst for FOX Sports.

AROD CORPIn addition to baseball, Mr. Rodriguez is the Founder and CEO of A-ROD CORP, a private holding company with businesses in the U.S. and Latin America. Under his leadership, Mr. Rodriguez has turned A-ROD CORP into a diversified investment vehicle focusing on real estate, high-end fitness centers, and automotive dealerships. His vision, coupled with his ability to bring highly experienced management teams together and his proficiency in raising capital, is to build a track record of positive returns for investors and partners alike.

PHILANTHROPYConcurrent with his professional endeavors, Mr. Rodriguez actively pursues a variety of philanthropic initiatives. Mr. Rodriguez serves on the board of directors of the Boys and Girls Club (BGC) of Miami-Dade, where he spent his youth and where he has dedicated the last 20 years volunteering, supporting, and helping to create life-changing environments for at-risk youth and underserved communities. He helped create the “Alex Rodriguez Educational Center” at the BGC of Miami-Dade that opened in January 2010 to provide learning and classroom space for BGC students. His commitment to BGC also extends nationwide through Visiting Clubs Tours, where he makes volunteer visits to Boys and Girls Clubs while traveling on the road for business or with the Yankees.

Mr. Rodriguez is very involved with the University of Miami, where he serves on the Board of Trustees. Alex helped remodel the baseball stadium (now renamed “Alex Rodriguez Park”). He has also provided scholarship money to BGC alumni at the University. “The Alex Rodriguez Scholarship” is awarded in perpetuity, structured to benefit an unlimited number of students over the years with his donation.

He also supports students at one of Florida’s most prestigious public research schools, Florida International University. “The Alex Rodriguez First Generation Scholarship” is provided to college-bound students so they can attend FIU and participate in internships to increase their chances for success after graduation.

SHARING KNOWLEDGE Sharing his baseball skills and knowledge with young players is important to Alex and he regularly makes time to encourage youth through hands-on baseball instruction, as he did at the NYC Autism Charter School at Harlem RBI’s Field of Dreams.

Mr. Rodriguez currently resides in Miami with his two daughters, Natasha and Ella.
